Although she was born and raised in Minnesota, Rachel Jokinen has happily made her home in the warmth of New Orleans for many years. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. During her final year of law school, she practiced as a Student Attorney in the Civil Rights and Federal Practice Clinic, and had the honor of arguing before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Rachel has worked on a variety of cases in state and federal courts, involving successions, wills and estates, insurance liability, divorce, child custody, property partitions, and more. Successions have been an area of particular interest to her since law school, and she was very excited to join Scott Law Group – Estate Counsel.
