It started in 2005, after Hurricane Katrina wrecked South Louisiana.
The storm displaced families across the region. In the aftermath, many were trying to qualify for disaster relief, get Road Home funding, sell flooded homes, or relocate to start over somewhere new. And for so many of them, the storm wasn’t really gone. New clouds were gathering — over a legal problem they didn’t know they had: a clouded title to real estate.
Years of unopened successions had left family homes legally tangled. Without clear title, families couldn’t get federal aid. Couldn’t sell to relocate. Couldn’t settle insurance claims. Couldn’t get closure.
What they needed wasn’t an attorney who would “feel” their way through it. They needed someone who could deliver real solutions, fast, at a price that worked — at one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Seeing those struggles, we felt called to help. We focused our practice on solving those problems — and over two decades later, it’s still what we do. Every day. All day.
Katrina is a distant memory now. But families still call us when those hard moments in their lives happen — and we are here to answer. The problems may look different. The need is the same. Real help. When it matters most. It’s right there in our logo.
