SMS Messaging Policy

Scott Law Group — Estate Counsel may send text messages to active clients who have provided their mobile phone number and consented to SMS communications during the attorney-client engagement process.

Who May Receive Messages

SMS messages are sent only to active clients who have expressly consented to receive text communications. Consent is obtained when a client signs our fee agreement, which includes an SMS consent clause, and provides their mobile phone number on the client intake form.

Types of Messages

We send text messages related to your active legal matter, including retainer account status notifications, appointment reminders, and case updates. Message frequency varies based on case activity.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also contact our office at (504) 264-9663 to request removal. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Scott Law Group does not charge for SMS messages.

Privacy

Your mobile phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We use your contact information solely to communicate with you about your active legal matter.
